Surviving EMP

Join Relay & Power Systems for a free webinar SURVIVING EMP – comprehensive solutions to protect your critical assets from an (electromagnetic pulse) EMP threat.

The news coverage focused on the impact on EMP is growing. The National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), was enacted by congress, and signed into law in December of 2016.  Section 1913, EMP and GMD Planning Research and Development and Protection & Preparedness applies directly to the utility infrastructure, requiring protection from an EMP attack. This will require all critical infrastructure participants to protect their assets from an EMP event, and is expected to result in new regulations impacting utilities infrastructure.

The impact of EMP is a hot topic for business and industry. An EMP, also sometimes called a transient electromagnetic disturbance, is a short burst of electromagnetic energy. Such a pulse’s origination may be a natural occurrence or man-made. EMP interference is generally disruptive or damaging to electronic equipment and at higher energy levels a powerful EMP event can fatally damage physical components of our critical infrastructure. Learn how you can protect your critical assets in this free webinar from RPS.
